Minnesota West Wrestling looks forward to another historic season as their roster continues to grow into the 2024-25 season.
During the 2023-24 campaign, Bluejay Wrestling saw a change in it's coaching staff as Brayden Curry, a graduate of Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in Sergeant Bluff, IA, and Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Head Coach after former Head Coach, Randy Baker, closed out a commendable 4 year campaign with the Bluejays. Curry was able to bring in current Assistant Coach, Jonah Egli, a graduate of Fort Dodge High School in Fort Dodge, IA, and Morningside University in Sioux City, IA.
Together, they brought in 13 athletes from across the country, while returning 2 from the previous season. With 15 total athletes, the duo has achieved another solid group of athletes. Following the 2023-24 season, the duo set their sites on building from the past year.
"We brought in a great number of athletes in our first year. Though we are happy with the accomplishment, we are now focused on blending quantity with quality. We feel very good about the guys we have returning, and the guys we have coming in this year." said Curry.
The 2024-25 Bluejays are returning 2 from last seasons roster, and adding 13 new faces this season. The accolades within this group are impressive, with multiple regional, state, and even national qualifiers, placers, and high school All-Americans.
